The Problem
Jingu is an app with a strong follower base that up until recently had chosen to only make their app available to iOS users. When I joined the team at Jingu, I was tasked with leading the design of the app for the Android community. This task allowed us to look at the way the app functioned and talk to current users of the app in person to help us understand how to not only recreate the app on the Android system but also improve it.

The Solution
In having access to real users of the app we involved them in the design process, involving sessions of rapid paper prototyping as well as Story Mapping. It was a collaborative experience where design and the users worked hand in hand to create the best solution. The design also reflects the common elements and gestures commonly used on an Android device vs. our current experience on the iOS device. The app was released on the Play Store.
